Crunchyroll is announcing they have obtained FLCL: Progressive and FLCL: Alternative and have them available outside of Asia:

I wasn’t real thrilled with Progressive: It lacked the energy of the original, and disguised a thin story with a lot of hawt Girl on Girl (Haruha vs. Julia) action. Alternative, though, was a pretty nice story about some pretty nice gals, and I’ll probably take the chance to watch it again.
Like the original they are six half hour episodes, so you can knock off either series in an afternoon. And if you don’t have Crunchyroll, I may have a 48-hour guest pass or two, so if you want one, drop me a note.

Yes, agreed. Alternative had a lot more thematic weight and a better cast behind it that made it interesting.
